    Description

1816 Founding Father Charles Carroll of Carrollton Signed Letter Introduction. Last living signer of the Declaration of Independence (outlived both Jefferson and Adams).
This is an amazing early document signed by Charles Carroll August 21, 1816.  It is a letter of introduction to William Batterson (2nd wealthiest man in Maryland after Carroll).  This letter was written at Doughoregan (Carroll's childhood home).
Condition: Several old repairs but paper is solid and not fragile.
After a couple of decades of owning this, it is time for a new owner. Hopefully a museum or collector that will preserve and appreciate this document.
Shipping cost is high to pay for insurance which I  am requiring due to the cost of the item.  Don't want it to "disappear" in transit.
