    This is for a rare 1832, George Washington’s Birth Commemorative Silk Ribbon, Sullivan GW-16, Choice Extremely Fine.
    Measures 8” x 2”, Black print on White silk. Shows a central oval Portrait of Washington pictured on a monument with a floral decorated Urn above and with the legend, “Born Feb. 22. 1732. Died Dec. 14. 1799.” below.
    Listed as GW-16 on page 13 of Sullivan and Fischer’s 1985 edition of “American Political Ribbons and Ribbon Badges / 1825 -1981”.
