    1930 Original Etching By well listed artist John Macgilchrist. John Macgilchrist was born in Scotland in 1893. He studied Etching with David Young Cameron in Scotland. Macgilchrist immigrated to the U.S. in 1920 and became well known as a etcher and litographer of military and Commercial Aviation subjects.
    Signed in Lower rhc in Pencil. Left side has Summer Skies in pencil.  It is an etching of Texaco plane #13. Etching Measures 10 1/2 by 9 1/2".Well Matted . Frame size is 16 1/2" by 14 3/4". Very Minor Foxing on edges of matting none on Etching itself. On Reverse the previous owner wrote Texaco Frank Hawks Travel Air. Mystery Cross Country Racer.Email with any questions.
