    2 WHITE IRONSTONE FRENCH VINTAGE PATE CROCK ~ ANTIQUE CASSEROLE TERRINE TUREEN
    Here are 2 small, heavy, white ironstone covered crocks.  They were originally
    used to sell and serve pate foie gras
    .  These days they are often repurposed as
    butter or jam servers
    .  They are both in excellent condition.
    The sides have two raised and embossed heads which look like tigers. (A popular brand of foie gras comes in a similar crock with lion heads)
    Stamped on the underside is “PORCELAINE  a FEU” (which translates to IRONSTONE) and "P. PRECIEUX  CRIGNY (RHONE)". Measure 4 1/4” in diameter and 3” tall.
