In the field above the center in a semicircle the name "CHICHÉN ITZÁ", in the center of the building of the Observatory or Caracol belonging to the Mayan Culture that functioned as an astronomical observatory, below which centered the word "OBSERVATORY". In the left field the dollar sign "$" continued with the number "5", in the right field the mint of the Mexican Mint, under the number "070707".
Obverse:
In the center the National Emblem in sculptural relief, surrounded by the legend " MEXICAN UNITED STATES" in an upper semicircle. Surrounding this and following the outline of the frame, the reproduction of different shields used throughout the history of our country, as well as the eagle that is in the central part of the first page of the Mendocino Code. The frame is smooth.
