Wood reverse side stamped "358"
Original hanger on reverse side
No signs of damage or wear to mechanism, glass, thermometer & woodwork other than:
- several very small chips at glass edge (only visible on close inspection)
- several cracks to glass backing behind thermometer (glass is still held in place)
- s
light deformation of top metal plate on reverse side
- minor differences to symmetrical form of carving on each side; may be minor damage that has been repaired most noticeable in 9th and 10th photos, 2nd leaf form from top on right hand side (due to natural & irregular form, this & other differences are not noticeable without very close inspection & comparison; when surrounded with other artwork it is likely to be unnoticed by most people)
