    Description

    Offered is a lovely Ironstone Blue Transferware Sauce Tureen.  This piece features a footed base with a scene of gothic structures, a large urn, a body of water, and human figures.  The scene is also on the lid which is trimmed with a floral motif, as are the top and bottom rims.  There are side handles and an acorn finial.  This tureen is unmarked, but was produced by Cotton & Barlow Pottery in Longton, Staffordshire, England c. 1850-1855.
    This piece is in very nice overall condition with no chips or cracks.  It measures 6 inches from handle to handle and 6 3/4 inches in height.  ~ A lovely piece of early Blue Transferware ~  Please email any questions before bidding.  Thank you for your interest.
