    Description

    This is for an Eddie Rickenbacker (1890-1973)  autographed 1953 typed letter as President of Eastern Air Lines at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, NY.
    He had a varied life from car racer, to owner of Indianapolis Speedway, to top American flying  ace during World War One with 26 victories. to owner of Eastern Air Lines.
    Written to Sheridan Fahnestock who was an explorer - mainly to the south Pacific.
    In 1945, Sheridan Fahnestock was named Chief of Overseas Operations, Transport Command, for the invasion of the Philippines and the assault on Japan.
    The letter also names Tom Braniff - president of Braniff Airlines and refers Sheridan to him for information that he was seeking.
    The letter is in nice condition with folds, envelope with Eastern Air Line return address and 25th Anniversary Stamp Cancel.
