    Description

    Jacob Furnival White Ironstone Sauce Tureen.
    This is an absolutely beautiful Jacob Furnival Ironstone sauce tureen. It is a Paneled Grape pattern, one of the most popular JF shapes. The covered pieces have eight panes. The handles are made of arched shapes and the finials are ring shaped. This piece dates to 1850.
    Jacob Furnival had a pottery on Elder Road from 1845-1870 in Cobridge , England. A lot of his pieces are marked JF and the potters mark reads Honi soit qui Mal y Pense which means Evil to him who thinks evil and Dieu et mon droit meaning God is my right.
    This piece is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The inside has a few little marks in the glaze that are discolored. See photos.
