The DS-DAC -10 R is equipped with a phono input terminal and ground terminal for direct connection to your record player. The records are converted into high resolution data with high quality sound by DSD, and it is easy to manage the music on AudioGate. The input jacks also support LINE level inputs such as cassette decks, making them ideal for archiving important collections.

The DS-DAC -10 R has a built-in DSD phono equalizer in the included software "AudioGate 4" that minimizes the effect on the original sound during the equalization process, and draws out the full sound that is pushed in when cutting records. In addition to the standard RIAA, it also supports 5 different curves (※ 2), so you can not only record the original sound during recording, but also play it back to the original sound of the recorded record. With the latest technology, you can see the true power of analog records, which until now even high-end audio equipment could hardly be pulled out.

The cutting machine for analog records cuts the width of the groove wider as the sound frequency decreases, so there are problems such as the needle cannot be traced accurately and recording time decreases. Therefore, the cut records are recorded with low frequency attenuation and high frequency enhancement, and are corrected by the curve of the inverse characteristic during playback. This correction is performed by "phono equalizer". In addition, since the output level of a record player is lower than that of a typical audio device, it is necessary to amplify the input signal. Many devices also play this role in phono equalizers. However, in the DS-DAC -10 R, amplification is divided into analog circuits and equalization into digital signal processing (By AudioGate 4).
*2. The RIAA is the Recording Industry Association of America (Recording Industry Association of America) standard for recording and playback curves. It was standardized in 1954, but the ones before that were not unified by record label. There's no curve on the record, so it's unclear exactly which curve was used, but the RIAA and five other curves are said to cover almost everything. Please enjoy different sounds by choosing various curves with AudioGate 4.
◆Uses carefully selected parts for the best sound quality.
The AD converter uses the same PCM 4202 (Made by TI) as the 1-BIT STUDIO recorder MR -2000 S. This item is made with the same quality as the recorders that are used by many professionals. The pre-stage circuit of the phono amplifier uses high-performance parts such as OPA 1662 (Made by TI) and thin film polymer multilayer capacitor (PMLCAP ®/by Rubycon) to maximize the performance of the phono cartridge.
The DA converter selects the same CS 4398 (Made by Cirrus Logic) as the MR -2000 S and DS-DAC series. The DS-DAC -10 R also inherits the Korg sound with the motto "faithfully reproduce the original sound without adding color to the sound".
