Description

These are Kuiu x Scarpa R-evolution K 8 HD boots in USMens 11/EU 44-1/2. The boots were used on one 12 mile hike so they show signs of wear but still have tons of life in them. I am selling them because I decided to size up. These are the version made in Italy, not Romania.

"The KUIU Scarpa R-Evolution 8 HD handles long days of hiking though rough terrain, while keeping your feet comfortable and dry. They're ideal when a moderate mixed terrain is expected and the need for a stiff mountaineering boot isn't necessary.
Synthetic Upper
In wet weather, all-leather uppers eventually get soaked, take on water weight, and lack breathability. Once wet, leather is slow to dry, and once they dry, shrinkage normally occurs, causing an inconsistent fit.
The R-Evolution 8 HD is full synthetic, so it doesn't have the issues associated with an all-leather boot. Synthetic materials absorb less moisture in the system, they're quick-drying, and don't shrink while drying. Synthetic boots also require less maintenance and they're lighter than an all-leather boot.
The boot's sides, which are typically subjected to heavy wear-and-tear, are paneled with Super Fabric®-- an extremely durable, synthetic material featuring ceramic dots which improve durability, while keeping it super breathable.
Adding rock scuffing durability, the lower section of the boot's upper is built with a full-wrap rubber rand.
Fit & Feel *Please read before ordering
KUIU SCARPA boots are sized with a mountaineering fit, which positions your toe at the end of the toe box. Most mountaineers prefer a tight fit for climbing, though it's not ideal for hunting. For a comfortable fit, we recommend ordering a half size larger than your normal shoe size. If you're between sizes, go up one full size. All boot sizes fit an average foot width.
*Example: If you measure size 9, order 9.5. If you measure 9.25, order size 10.
The R-evolution flexes throughout the toe and mid-shank. If you prefer the feel of a traditional hiker, but you want the technology and features of a lightweight synthetic mountaineering boot, R-Evolution is the best of both worlds.
