    Description

You are bidding on a 1821 - 1947 MEXICO gold 50 (Fifty) Centenario Pesos Gold coin Oro Puro! FREE SHIPPING IN USA~! The Mexico 50 Peso, or Centenario, was first produced in 1921 to commemorate the centennial of Mexico’s independence from Spain. The Centenario was issued every year from 1921 to 1931 and again from 1944 through 1947. Demand was strong for the coin as a bullion issue, so the Mexico City Mint continued to produce gold 50 Pesos with the 1947 date through 1972 and also in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Additionally, Commemorative Medallic issues without the 50 Peso denomination were issued in 1943 and several dates in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The major advantage of purchasing the Mexico 50 Peso is its low premium. Mexico 50 Pesos can be purchased typically for a little more than 2% over metal value. This makes the 50 Peso one of the least expensive gold coins available. For a gold bullion buyer that also has an interest in collecting, the Mexico 50 Peso is an ideal coin. Collecting a date run of the series can be fun and challenging. Collecting also has the added benefit of imposing a measure of self-discipline that keeps the collector from over-trading their gold coins. These big, beautiful Centenarios are fun to own! 50 Mexican Pesos Centenario
In 1910 Mexico celebrated the Centennial of the beginning of its War of Independence with Spain. To commemorate the event, a giant column was erected in the middle of Mexico City with a statue of "El Angel de la Independencia", "The Angel of Independence", sitting atop. This 6.7-meter statue, constructed of Bronze and Gold, represents the "Winged Victory", a Greek symbol for the goddess Nike (Victory). In her right hand the Angel holds a luarel crown, symbolizing Victory, while in her left she holds a broken chain, symbolizing Freedom.
The obverse (front) of the Mexican 50 Pesos features a striking portrait of Winged Victory standing in front of the Mexican volcanoes Iztacc'huatl and Popocat'ptl. This coin is often compared to America's most beautiful coin, the Saint-Gaudens. The obverse also lists the face value ('50 PESOS'),the gold content, and the date of issue opposite the date of Mexican Independence,1821.

    Terms of Sale
    PLEASE READ
Before leaving anything other than positive feedback, please give me the courtesy of letting me know if you are not satisfied with your purchase. I have a 100% money back guarantee if you are not happy with your items for any reason, other than "I thought it looked bigger!" Each side of the nuggets, silver and jewelery will be photographed, as I do not hide anything, including flaws, and will be mentioned if I see it.
I will show each angle of the nugget/s, good, bad or ugly. If you are not satisfied with your gold, I'm happy to offer a full refund upon return, as long as the gold has not been altered. Since 2009, only three nuggets have been returned.
    About Us
A bit about me and where the gold is mined..
I have lived in Alaska since 1989, and the Interior since 2006, and this is our home. Most of my Alaskan placer gold nuggets are from
Circle, Fairbanks, FortyMile, Bonnifield, Rampart, Yukon, Valdez, Koyukuk
    and Ophir
mining districts, Alaska. Between 35 and 60 miners supply me throughout the state; some in Canada. I clean the gold by a natural process to knock off the dirt. The color and shine of the gold will vary, depending on the creek,  assay, metal content, etc. I don't always know the creek where your gold comes from, but most of the time I do.
I am a one-woman business and I believe in "truth in advertising". From 2009 until now, gold is my full time job after a long career in aviation since 1977. I have gained the trust in hundreds, maybe approaching thousands, of return customers, including other sellers and plan to keep it that way.
I also sell fine jewelry and custom made Alaskan nugget pieces hand crafted by my friend and neighbor, Jim. He is a talented jeweler and his custom pieces are one of a kind. I have a source for vintage Alaskan jewelry, but often I don't know the history of the item. When I don't know a certain stone, I will state that. I'm not a gemologist, but I do know gold. All diamonds will be tested and stated in the description. You will be buying pieces for about 1/4 of retail price. I can pass the savings along to you because I buy it right. I buy silver when I see vintage pieces and rescue them from being melted.
Keep watching my listings and add me to your "favorite sellers". I will send you automated emails with my newest items, if you click the box. I believe I get the most unique, one of a kind jewelry of any seller on ebay. I've been at it a very long time and selling on ebay since 1999.
If you see errors in my listings, please let me know...never any offense taken! If a listing is removed, it's only to correct an error...not for any obscure reason; it's as simple as that. It will always be relisted.
