  • Condition: Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: Although this wonderful Morgan Dennis (American, 1892-1960) early 20th c vint B & W etching of a playful Scottish Terrier, acting mischievously w/its leash in its mouth is out of frame, it's nevertheless in wonderful, very well-preserved overall vint cond. It's not plagued by any tears, pushes to its surface, unsightly water stains or any noticeable foxing or tanning. The etching isn't cut down & is complete, w/its orig wide ext margins, outside of the printed pictorial field. The print's titled 'Let's Go!' but isn't titled on this etching along the lower margin. It's however, pencil signed by the artist Morgan Dennis in the lower right hand corner in the margin. The orig mat presentation is still accompanying the etching & it was found under glass. It wasn't found w/a frame & is being offered as such. A remarkable drypoint etching, w/real artistic skill & subject familiarity. Strong blacks, bright whites & complex mid-tone grays. Just terrific.
