DESCRIPTION:
Although this wonderful
Morgan Dennis
(Ame

can,

vintage black and white etching of a playful
Scottish Terrier,
acting mischievously with its leash in its mouth is out of frame, it's nevertheless in wonderful, very well-preserved overall vintage condition. It's not plagued by any tears, pushes to its surface, unsightly water stains, noticeable foxing or tanning. The etching isn't cut down and is complete, with its original wide exterior margins, outside of the printed pictorial field. The print's titled
'Let's Go!'
but isn't titled on this particular etching edition along the lower margin. It's however, pencil signed by the artist
Morgan Dennis
in the lower right hand corner in the margin. The original mat presentation is still accompanying the etching and it was found under glass. It wasn't found with a frame and is being offered as such. A remarkable drypoint etching, with real artistic skill and subject familiarity. Strong blacks, bright whites and complex mid-tone grays. Absolutely terrific.
CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition.
