    Description

    Here we are offering a very nice sauce tureen most likely made in England. This tureen has a pearlware glaze that date it to between 1780 thru 1830. After then, this glaze was no longer used. It is sometimes referred to as creamware. This tureen is smaller, measuring 3 1/4 inches tall (not including the lid) by 7 inches long (not including the handles). It is nicely decorated with a transfer print of griffins and ivy leaves. It also has heavy gold accents which is in good condition with only some wear on the handles. As I said, the maker is unknown. There is some crazing but, it is not that bad considering. I believe at one time, this was a quality piece. Please see the photos and thanks for looking!
