  • Condition: First of all, the leather case is in bad condition however it has protected the barometer from exterior wear all these years. Interior specs on the glass. See photos. Some scratches below the bezel maybe from knife marks trying to open up front cover. (See photo). I put it in the refrigerator and the needle did not move so I am assuming it is not functioning properly.

    Rare 19th Century German Holosteric Barometer with Leather Case Maker's mark on the back "OB"
    2 7/8" diameter by 3/4" thick
    70mm in diameter and 20mm thick.
    The case is nickel plated. The dial is appears to be silver plated. Adjustment screw on the back where hole is. (See photo)
