Sarreguemines Faience Earthenware Soupier Tureen 4 Soup Bowls Vtg French Country.
This is an epic soupier with four matching soup bowls, from the renowned French earthenware manufacturers of Sarreguemines, France. The stamps on these pieces date them to 1920-1950, making this set possibly nearly 100 years old. These pieces are in excellent condition for their age - they were all clearly only cabinet-kept. The only condition issues to note is the slightest bit of loss to the yellow paint on each of the soup bowl rims - please see photos. There are otherwise no chips, cracks or crazing.
The tureen features a figural apple on top of the lid, and figural handles that appear like tree branches. An all-over floral motif adorns the tureen. The bowls coordinate very well, and feature a garden trellis at their centers. The colors are quite French provincial. An amazing g addition to your farmhouse aesthetic.
