    Description

    Sony PCM-7040 DAT Digital Audio Recorder
    It's in great condition as you can see from the photos. It will come with a power supply and the rack-mounted handles shown in the photos. The handles can be removed if you just want to keep it on a desk. This was in a smoke free studio for years and haven't been used in a while so I'm selling it. This will be packed really well so it's not damaged during shipment. Check out my other auctions for more racks. I will ship worldwide but it will cost more.
    Model Details
    Ideally suited for interchanging audio between recording studios and video post production facilities, Sony's PCM-7040 DAT recorder offers high-quality 2-channel digital recording with SMPTE time code. This high-end recorder is useful for a wide range of audio recording applications where time code synchronization and external control are required.
    Features:
    Confidence Monitoring Confidence Monitoring: Designed with a 4-head rotary system, the recorder provides two recording modes, RAW (Read-After-Write) and RMW (Read-Modify-Write); in RAW mode, real-time off-tape monitoring is provided;
    Comprehensive Serial Remote Control Comprehensive Serial Remote Control: Equipped with a 9-pin serial remote connector for convenient control from external equipment.
    Variable Speed Playback Variable Speed Playback: Allows the playback speed to be varied over a range of +/-12.5%.
    External Synchronization External Synchronization: Can be locked to a variety of external reference signals
    Memory Start Function Memory Start Function: Approximately 3 seconds of audio data from around the play starting point is stored in a stereo digital sound memory and this memorized sound is output instantly when the play key is pressed.
    Internal Clock Internal clock for Time Date allows the automatic time-stamping of recording.
    4 Motor Mechanism 4 Motor Mechanism: The tape is loaded from the front and driven stable by a precision 4-motor direct-drive mechanism under the control of accurate servo electronics.
