    The PCM-F1 was a groundbreaking unit, enabling digital recording at a reasonable price. It did so by storing digital audio on the video channel of a Betamax VCR. This unit is switchable between 14 and 16 bit. A lot of music was recorded in this format, now unretrievable without this box. It was sold to me working years ago, and sitting on my shelf unused since then. I don't have a Beta machine on which to test it, so I have to sell it "as-is." Comes complete with power adapter. There's a slot for a battery pack, which I do not have, nor have I ever seen one. Free, insured shipping to the Lower 48.
