TWO CAMBRIDGE GLASS CANDLESTICKS, SINGLE KEYHOLE, ETCHED WILDFLOWER, GOLD GUILD

Description

For your consideration is a perfectly matched pair of clear glass, 5”, single keyhole candlesticks made by the Cambridge Glass Company.  They are decorated in the etched Wildflower pattern (3400/646) on the round base, and have gold gilding around the base and top.
The candlesticks in this pattern were first introduced in 1937 and were discontinued in 1958.
During the period from 1949 to 1953 the Wildflower pattern was enhanced with the addition of encrusted gold and gold edging.
The process of adding gold was done on a limited basis and then only to a very few items.
This dates these candlesticks to the time period of 1949 to 1953 and explains their rarity.
The candlesticks measures 5” across the base and stands 5-1/4” tall.
Condition on these candlesticks is excellent.  There are no chips, repairs, or scratches and the gold shows no wear.
