Scully P280 Playback Electronics cards for Scully 280 reel to reel recorder. Condition is "Used".
This auction is for TWO Scully 280 Playback cards. These have been tested for functionality in a 280 recorder.
Note: I have gotten questions asking about whether these are 30/15,  7.5/15 or 3.75/7.5 ips speed EQ  cards.   It took a little digging in the manual to refresh my memory on how Scully did this, but I found it.  In the Scully 280, they did the EQ compensation with the selected components in the electronics chassis OUTSIDE of the record and playback PC cards.  This allowed them to use a standard universal playback and record card for all speeds, but they specified different model numbers for the electronics chassis for the various speed and choice of EQ.
Note: These cards are tested in a Scully 280 for proper operation before shipping but they are approx. fifty years old.   With any audio equipment of this vintage, continued operation may require replacement of some of the aged components, particularly the electrolytic capacitors.
