Vintage Simons Brothers Sterling Silver Thimble  Applied “Liberty Bell” Freedom Disk
This is a vintage Simons Bros. Sterling silver thimble…applied Liberty Bell freedom disk “1776” “1976” to a wide plain band thimble.
The thimble is marked “STERLING SILVER” and has the Simons Brothers maker’s mark on inside top…applied Liberty Bell freedom disk…raised Liberty Bell and text on darkened background…“AMERICAN BICENTENNIAL OF FREEDOM 1776  1976”…marked “8” on wide band…see my pics.  The thimble is in excellent vintage condition with no holes…slight age and use wear.  This wonderful thimble makes a nice addition to your collection.
The thimble is pictured on page 109 [76], American Silver Thimbles by Gay Ann Rogers.
