Vintage French Silver Thimble w/ Unusual Band
by Stéphanie Prudhomme * Circa 1930-50
This little solid silver thimble has a finely grooved band with figures around in a very distinctive impressionistic style. It looks like a lady leaning out of a window and talking to someone on the street. It was made by
Stéphane Prudhomme and has her maker's mark (partial),
    registered in 1928.
All of her thimbles had this distinctive style. It's also hallmarked with the French boar's head silver mark that was used on French 800/1000 pure silver made in Paris.
The condition is mint, crisp and in round with no holes, dents, needling or wear. It's about an American child's size 5 (13.8 mm diameter opening).
I stand behind everything that I offer and
    guarantee
that it is exactly as presented.
** Full Insurance is included in the low shipping price for all of my auctions. **
