Vintage Taxco Mexico Sterling Silver Thimble

Authentic sterling silver Taxco, Mexico thimble. This vintage thimble features hand applied scroll style wires and kite shape leaves. These foliate patterns frame the sides of the thimble. The top has a dimpled honeycomb design while the base has a repeating pattern of curlicue wires. The thimble measures 7/8 inch from top to bottom. Stamped on the inside is "Sterling" and "Taxco" referring to the famed city in Mexico long known for excellence in silversmiths. This thimble has not been cleaned or polished. Shows age appropriate wear but overall nice estate condition. Weighs a solid 3.3 grams. This thimble would make a wonderful gift or self purchase. A great and unique addition to your collection.
