VINTAGE TIFFANY & CO PRIVATE STOCK HAND-PAINTED SOUP TUREEN
From the estate of a prominent Wall Street financier. A vintage Tiffany & Co. Private Stock hand-painted soup tureen. The tureen measures approximately 12 1/4" handle to handle by 7 3/4" by 8 3/4" high with the lid. There are a number of dark spots under the glaze on the interior. There is an imperfection in the porcelain at the foot. There are a few other isolated imperfections in the glaze. No loss of overglaze decoration or gilding was observed. No signs of wear. Most likely only used for display. Marked on the bottom Tiffany & C, Private Stock, Hand Painted in France and possibly the number 96 or initials SS.
