The "EXH-8" can input signals from microphones and mixers, and together with the six inputs on the H8 itself, can provide up to 10 channels of audio.
Each input is equipped with a dedicated GAIN knob and -20dB PAD switch, allowing the +4dB line level input used by professional equipment without distortion. The EXH-8 can also supply the phantom power necessary to use condenser microphones.
When using the H8's built-in MUSIC application, the EXH-8 can be used as an MTR with up to 10 tracks, as a recorder with 4 sound pads and 8 microphone inputs with the PODCAST application, and as a field recorder with up to 12 tracks (10 tracks + L/R mix) with the FIELD application. for projects that require up to 10 channels of input.
