It comes with a detachable stereo X/Y microphone and is compatible with other Zoom mic capsules, including shotgun, mid-side, and other X/Y mics developed for the H5 and H6 Handy Recorders. The portable, lightweight Q8 shoots clear, crisp video in a variety of formats, all the way up to 3M HD, and can also be used as a standalone 4-channel audio recorder.
The compact size of the Q8 and its compatibility with both tripod mounts and all three-prong action camera mounts means you can take it to remote locations—both indoors and outdoors—and shoot footage from perspectives other cameras simply cannot capture.

NOTE FROM THE SELLER:
This camera is barely used!
Selling because I no longer need this camera for a project that fell through.
It was only used twice to run test shots. Unfortunately, during testing, the camera hit a hard surface on the detachable microphone.
It sustained some cosmetic damage (SEE PHOTOS).
A small plastic piece chipped off and one mic came loose (plastic only). The mic's plastic was glued to repair it. That said, this damage is 100% cosmetic!
The camera has been tested again for sound quality and video quality. No damage was sustained to the working parts of the camera. IT IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL!
The part can also be replaced or swapped out for a different mic if desired. However, it is working as-is and does not need repairs or replacement parts.
