This product is completely silent and works well. You can’t really tell if it’s on or not. I decided to do a little experiment. I soaked a pair of shoes I don’t really care about and let one air dry and put one on the Peet. I used a moisture meter on the wood setting and took the temperate of each shoe after 1 hour, 3 hours and 12 hours. I wanted to get less of a time gap but I had to leave. After 3 hours the shoe on the Peet was complexly dry to the touch except the inside edges of the shoe.Experiment results-Both soaked shoes33%/38% moisture59 degreesAfter 1 hour-Air dry shoe: 31% moisture, 59 degreesPeet shoe: 28% moisture, 64 degreesAfter 3 hours-Air dry shoe: 29%/31% moisture, 58 degreesPeet shoe: 15%/9% moisture, 84 degreesAfter 12 hours-Air dry shoe: 19%/27% moisture, 59 degreesPeet shoe: 0%/0% moisture, 79 degrees

So first off, let me say that dryer this works surprisingly well.But at the same time I want to give this product 4.5 stars but am only allowed whole numbers....The reason for the half a star deduction would be that there is no indication that this thing is actually on. I would love a light or even a switch. This dryer is so ultra quiet it is difficult to tell that it's even working... But it is! So it's difficult to complain about something because it's not noisy. But this dryer would be amazing if I could leave it plugged in and turn it on and off with a switch.Otherwise, it is perfect. My husband walks up to 17 miles a day in the elements for work and it is so easy for him to put his shoes on the dryer the moment he gets home. I have also noticed a reduction in smell now that he's started drying his shoes every evening.We have have extremely rainy days here lately and his shoes have been Dry and ready for him the next morning.
Great Item for Hard Workers

I bought this for two reasons: 1) Dry out and have warm boots for the cold mornings and 2) keep the form on my  Irish Setter  boots. Just place the boots on overnight and in the morning you'll have warm and dry boots. Simple. Eventually, the wrinkles in my boots should go away or at least not get worse.Plenty other reviews mention this not having an on/off switch, which would be nice, but I just unplug mine after I take the boots off. Might put a simple switch in some day.I also bought the  PEET Dryer - Glove DryPort Attachment  to better dry gloves. Just placing gloves on the boot dryer as-is doesn't work well, especially since I typically want gloves dried quicker.

I love my PEET Dryer! My only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner. My whole life from when I was a young boy till today, I've been playing sports; basketball, football, baseball, running, and other physical activities. And for my whole life, I've had problems with having smelly shoes due to having sweaty feet. It's quite embarrassing if I were ever required to take my shoes off in front of other people. To make up for this, I just ended up trashing shoes once they became too smelly, sometimes this could be after two to three months depending on how much use I put them through. It felt like such a waste of money to buy shoes so often, especially when they were still in really good condition externally. However, internally, the shoes were too smelly for me.I gave the peet dryer a shot and I've been able to use the same basketball shoes for over eight months now! They are still going strong without any stinky odor to report of! I play basketball for 2-3 hours at a time at least 2-3x a week and after every session, I can feel the moisture within my shoes. I know it's gross to hear lol, but after a day or two on the peet dryer, my shoes are completely dry and odorless. That was unheard of for me before my peet dryer and I still can't believe how well this dryer works for my athletic shoes. I am recommending this to all of my friends!
A must have if you wear boots everyday

Purchased this for my fiancé since he has to wear steel toe boots to work. He absolutely loves it!!! He uses this at least twice a week to dry his boots! His feet sweats since he works in a factory, so his boots will get a little damp and he just pops them right on over night and they're dry in the morning! It takes a minute for the dryer to come on so don't expect it to start drying immediately. He said it almost felt like he was wearing brand new boots after drying them. This gem will cut down on stinky work boots too! Since the water won't be lingering in the boots over night. We discovered this dryer after my fiancé worked in water one day at work. He had to leave his boots to dry in the house for about three days. They smelled awful and took forever to dry. I purchased this and I can't believe we haven't found this before! It did bring out the smell a little when you walk by the dryer so I will say, PURCHASE THIS IS YOU WEAR BOOTS!!
